What You Will Get
Be prepared. It’s more than an old Boy Scouts motto. When traveling, especially in remote locations, anything can happen. This course is designed to prepare riders for the kinds of challenges they are likely to experience, when traveling on a motorcycle. We cover everything from having an “Essentials Kit,” to tailoring your gear to accommodate specific riding conditions. Riders learn basic roadside maintenance procedures, emergency shelter construction, outdoor survival skills, emergency signaling, paper map navigation and other essential remote travel skills. If you travel in the backcountry, this is the survival course you need.
Inspecting your motorcycle before every ride is essential for safe riding. it also helps riders become familiar with machines and to spot “problems” before they become mechanical failures.
Always adhere to the maintenance schedule as outlined in your OEM owners manual. Carry a complete tool kit and tire repair kit on every ride.
Being able to get a group together for a ride can make riding more enjoyable, but there’s some things to know to stay safe when riding in a group. This course will teach riders the basics of group riding.

If you must reschedule please contact us at least 30 days before the start of your class, there will be a $75 dollar rescheduling fee that will be applied. Cancellations and/or “No Shows” under the same 30 day period will lose their full registration fee.
